Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust is planning to transfer all candi.nhs.uk emails to NHSmail – also known as NHS.net – starting in January 2024. It will take a month to fully complete.
NHSMail is the national standard for NHS organisations and this move will enable closer integration with GP practices, Government, and other NHS organisations.
To ensure a safe transition, any new emails sent to candi.nhs.uk email addresses will be automatically redirected to the corresponding NHSmail account for a minimum of six months. However, please start using our organisation’s NHS.net email addresses as soon as you receive them from the C&I colleagues that you work with, as the automatic re-direct will not last indefinitely.
We are working with an approved and experienced third-party company who has successfully completed countless similar transfers with other NHS organisations for many years, along with colleagues from the Digital Directorate at NHS England. Work to plan the transfer has already started, including technical and clinical safety assessments, and we plan to start the process in January 2024.
As Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust work more closely with Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust, and apply to become a single organisation, it will be essential for all our IT systems to function seamlessly across the Partnership. Migrating our email platform is one of the essential first steps in that process.
Thank you for your support and for working with us as we make this significant change.
