Research

Clinical research is an important part of what we do at the North London Mental Health Partnership. It allows us to improve our clinical practice and deliver more for patients. We want to build on this strength and expand our research capabilities across the Partnership.

Research enables us to provide our service users with the latest, most innovative techniques available to aid recovery.

If you use our services you will find that our treatments are among the best in the country and are sometimes at the forefront of international thinking and development. To help us ensure we are leading the field, we collaborate with other organisations that are also active in research, expanding our knowledge in psychiatry, psychology, counselling and nursing.

The role of the Research department is to support and facilitate researchers to undertake high quality research and to provide research governance to ensure the interests of participants, researchers and the Partnership are protected through adherence to the local and national regulatory frameworks.

The Research and Development (R&D) Department offers support in:

  • Grant applications
  • Ethics applications
  • Training
