Councillor Anna Wright visits Highgate East

We were delighted to welcome Councillor Anna Wright, Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care at Camden Council on Wednesday 10 January for a visit to Highgate East, our new flagship inpatient hospital which opens in March 2024.

Highgate East will replace the ageing inpatient wards at St Pancras Hospital. The modern environment at Highgate East will enable mental health recovery through providing therapeutic spaces for our service users and giving our staff the facilities needed to provide the best possible care. The facility will offer all single en suite rooms, outdoor space from each ward, therapy spaces, plus a sports hall and community café as part of a move to destigmatise mental health and ensure a more inclusive approach.

Highgate East will form part of a single campus with Highgate West, improving the way that our clinical cover is organised and how facilities are managed.
