Nigerian Government visit to our Op COURAGE Veterans Service | News

On 18 January Dr Sue Ferrier, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Joint Head for our Veterans Service, welcomed a delegation from the Nigerian Government as part of their visit to NHS England’s national specialist armed forces services.

Joined by six military delegates from the Armed Forces of Nigeria and a diplomat from the Defence Section of the Nigeria High Commission*, Sue gave an overview of the National Op COURAGE offer for veterans across England. There was emphasis on the important partnership working which is happening across statutory and non-statutory services such as Op RESTORE and the holistic care being provided to service users through our collaboration.

Others who supported the briefing included Beth Lambert, National programme manager for Op RESTORE; Alison Treadgold, Head of Armed Forces Operations and policy, NHS England and Andrea Collins, Head of Communications and Engagement from NHS England.
