North London Forensic Collaborative is offering a small grant programme to voluntary sector, faith, and grassroot organisations as part of its aspiration to build relationships and work together to tackle inequalities and improve quality outcomes for forensic service users.
The term forensic service users are used to describe people who access adult forensic mental health services, as in inpatient in an adult secure service, or in the community under the care of a specialist community forensic team.
North London Forensic Collaborative recognises the incredible contribution that small voluntary, community and faith groups already make in response to health inequalities across the three Integrated Care Systems in North East London, North West London and North Central London.

What the Grant Can Be Used For:
Grants can be used for any project or initiative that will improve the health and wellbeing, promote recovery and inclusion, and enhance quality of life for individuals accessing forensic services in the community. This could include updating equipment and enhancing or expanding the current offer. We actively encourage initiatives that support cohorts of our forensic population that may be marginalised as a result of their mental health and criminal record, to enable them to be integrated into the communities that they live in.
Application Time Frame:
Applications for the small grant programme is offered on a rolling basis until July 2024, or until all funds are spent. All funding grants must be spent within the 12 months of being awarded.
How To Apply:
To apply for the grant please complete the application form here and a new suppliers form here. Return your completed forms to email: beh-tr.nlfc@nhs.net
Once your application has been received, it will be reviewed by our panel, which includes people with lived experience.
Our grant award meetings take place once per month. If your application is successful, you will be notified by email and invited to meet with us to agree the grant terms and conditions.
Projects monitoring takes place at two intervals - three months from the project start date and on completion, to share the project outcomes and impact.
Application Limitations:
Organisations can apply for a grant to the value of £4,999 per annum, which can be in the form of a single grant application or multiple grant applications. You will only be able to receive £4,999 in a rolling year and will not be able to reapply for another small grant until 12 months has elapsed. If your application is unsuccessful, following feedback from the panel you will have one more opportunity to resubmit your application.
