Every year, our Partnership holds a staff awards ceremony to recognise the vital contributions of the people who work here. We encourage staff to nominate each other for a variety of awards, from Leader of the Year, to Pioneering Research as a way of celebrating all our staff and of thanking those whose work has been extraordinary.
We wanted to open the awards to nominations from the people whom we serve – service users, their loved ones and carers. We have therefore created the GEM award – the Going the Extra Mile award – for the general public to recognise a member of staff who has gone above and beyond to provide good care whether to them or to their loved one. This can be related to care within one of our hospitals, or it could be a staff member working in one of our community settings.
Recognising the good work that our teams do is a wonderful way not only to say thank you to them, but to also encourage excellent care across our Partnership.
If you would like to read more about how you can nominate a staff member who has looked after you or a loved one, and whom you feel deserves special recognition, please click here for our simple nomination form.
Nominations open today Wednesday 14 February and close on Friday 15 March.
If the staff member you nominate makes the shortlist you will receive an invitation to our special awards ceremony at the Grosvenor Hotel in central London on Thursday 23 May where there will be a sit-down dinner, entertainment and a special award ceremony.
Thanks for considering nominating one of our staff. If you have any questions please email beh-tr.staffawards@nhs.net
