As winter draws near, we can take steps to protect ourselves and others against seasonal illnesses, including flu.
It is also worth bearing in mind COVID-19 safety guidance in light of the new variant (BA.2.86).
Those who are eligible for a flu vaccine and/or COVID-19 booster are advised to book appointments to receive these.

Many of us will be familiar with the advice to catch coughs and sneezes in a tissue, and then to dispose of the tissue and wash our hands as soon as we can afterwards.
The NHS also has guidance on how to wash your hands effectively with soap and water.
