Together with our partner King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership (KCCLP) we have launched the second phase of consultation on plans to redevelop the St Pancras Hospital site.
Our vision for the site will see it become home to a centre of excellence for community mental health care alongside new homes and flexible working space.
The redevelopment of our St Pancras Hospital site has also facilitated Oriel a joint partnership between Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and Moorfields Eye Charity to create a world-leading centre for advancing eye health.
In-person and online events to hear plans for the emerging masterplan for the St Pancras site and share your thoughts on our proposals are being held on:
Tuesday 16 May – Online via Zoom from 12pm sign up via this link
Wednesday 17 May – St Pancras Community Association, 67 Plender Street, NW1 0LB, from 12pm to 4pm
Jinjer Kandola MBE, C&I Chief Executive says: “We are excited to see the masterplan progressing for the St Pancras Hospital site. Through our Transformation Programme we are significantly improving our inpatient and community mental health services facilities across Camden and Islington to provide therapeutic environments for those using our services and improved working spaces for our staff.
“The programme will deliver Highgate East adjacent to the Whittington Hospital, our new flagship inpatient facility, which, when it opens in winter 2023, will replace the ageing wards at St Pancras Hospital. Improving the quality of our community facilities is also a key part of our plans to help people with mental health problems to live well in the places where they live and work.
“The St Pancras programme will provide us with much improved facilities, including a new Institute of Mental Health and new staff working environments on the retained part of the St Pancras Hospital site. It will also enable us to fund new community mental health services facilities, including our Lowther Road site in Islington which will also open later this year, providing a modern, welcoming space in the heart of the community.”
